The event which occurred to stationing over 274 books at the Okere District Library, Abiriw on May 28, 2020 saw a gathering of key players such as the Amankrado of Abriw and his entourage, the Okere District Director of Education, the Okere District Chief Executive, the Regional Director’s Representatives, Assembly men, Representatives of various Okuapeman Chapters, the Local Library, the Donors, many other contributors including indigenes as they adhere to Covid-19’s precautionary measures.

“Yes, we were known as Akuapem, we were not known as individual towns although Akuapem has got 17 individual towns and it’s endowed with a rich culture vest with 3 different languages amongst other treasures. The union have discarded being individualistic so that we have to move as a unified group and so it is our aim to see that we go back for what happened in times past which bind us together.” Mr Addo Adjei disclosed to Iseeghblogspot.com on the sidelines of the event.

The Okuapeman Union of Europe, the UK and Ireland which was founded about three (3) years prior had made a decent number of donations to a few organisations within the period. It at present consists of around 25 active to 50 members. Anyway the union accepts all interested persons both at home and in Diaspora to be members and further partake in the joint efforts of accomplishing their objectives.
