Ishaku Elisha Cliff Abbo is the lawmaker representing the Adamawa North Adamawa State Senatorial District at the 9th Nigerian National Assembly.
An HIV/AIDS carrier, Mr. Cliff Elisha Ishaku, who has been HIV positive since 2004, who once took the authorities of the Nigerian Naval Training College, Onne, Port Harcourt to court for allegedly denying him admission into the college on grounds of his HIV/AIDS status claims the video was doctored.
A senator is someone who is responsibly protective of the right of Nigerians. Opposite is the case of Ishaku Abbo who is rather seen abusing and molesting a defenceless nursing mother in a video posted by by Premium Times.
Most Nigerians are assuming the lawmaker could have been patronising the adult toy shop as a result of his health status?
According to most Nigerians, It would be appropriate if he is made to face the full rigors of the law.
However, since the video went viral on Tuesday, over a 38,473 persons have signed the six filed petitions against Elisha Abbo' on the popular petition platform, Change.org.
Some of the petitions are quoted as, 'End Abuse on women and girls', 'Prosecute Senator Elisha Cliff for aggravated assault', 'Recall of Senator Elisha Cliff Ishaku for assaulting a nursing mother in Abuja', 'Justice for woman assaulted by senator Elisha Abbo', '...help sign the petition so that he can be prosecuted and brought to justice, as this will serve as a deterrent to others who might want to abuse power and perpetrate similar acts.'
The matter is currently being investigated as ordered by the Senate and the Inspector General of Police.
