The Allied Filling Station at Akropong-Akuapem has on the 27th August 2019, resumed its operations. The fueling station had undergone a non-stop renovation period of about six months and two weeks after a fire outbreak which demolished a major part of the station.

The station which was formerly called Unipetrol happens to be the main fueling station in the Akropong-Akuapem town in the Eastern Region. It has smoothly been operating for more than 25 years. Nevertheless there are several other branches of the Allied fueling station across the country.

In a conversation with the station’s supervisor, Fianko  Akuffo, who communicated the unfortunate fire outbreak as unexpected, regards it necessary a consistently acceptable service to their customers. According to him, the incident which occurred at about 9.00am on 17th February 2019, was as a result of the seldom electrical power fluctuation in the area. However, he stated such a mishap to be the first of its kind throughout the years the fueling station had been in operation.

“In spite of the fact that we lost resources, the main building, the supermarket, the office, the store all got consumed. We just lost nearly everything except for we are completely in shape again to go beyond our standard best” Fianko Akuffo imparted.   

“It wasn’t easy without Allied, we always needed to travel far in waste of our little fuel before we can get fuel to buy, meanwhile those other places weren’t too cool”, a driver lamented.

On the day of its reopening the management in an agreed decision offered some praiseworthy free giveaways to their customers as a way to invite them back and moreover make an awareness of their resumption after the difficult experiences the period had caused them all. In a check; 100 vehicles and 30 motorcycles were given a worthy amount of fuel, whiles 100 pieces of customized T-shirts and 100 stickers were additionally given away.

In a bit to a fuel buyer’s preference, a litre cost at the Allied Filling Station rates lesser at about Ghc 5.160 cost, as compared to others.

The Manager, Eric Dei, on behalf of the management therefore promised to convey a greater quality service from their quality fuels in a more secured atmosphere to every one of their customers.
